Construction Assistant (PART TIME - ref# EISC-HQC13)

We need an energetic and diligent assistant to work in our Sydney office for our busy construction department. We need you for around 16 hours per week, preferably 4 mornings. Experience of shop-fitting or construction and procurement is preferred but not essential.

We're nice people :) we work hard and there's lot's going on. Amongst all sort of other interesting stuff you will be:-

  • Coordinating pre-fit out paperwork:
    • Preparing site information documents
    • Ensuring contractors are booked according to the pipeline
    • Coordinating insurance requirements
    • Arranging bank deposits
    • Safe Working Method Statements
    • Authority To Commence Work
    • Passing all information to contractors and ensure that inductions/work is booked
  • Procurement
    • Creating purchase orders using MYOB purchasing database
    • Ordering equipment according to Bill Of Materials (BOM)
    • Confirming delivery dates
    • Controlling incoming stock and monitoring key equipment deliveries
    • Packing stock and checking inventories
    • Collecting orders from local suppliers
  • Managing key milestones in the construction process
    • Preparing Design Applications for Landlords and Council
    • Ensuring Construction Certificates/Occupation Certificates are organized
    • Booking inspections
    • Ensuring Electrical/Construction Certificates are issued on time

You need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Customer Service Staffers (ref# EISC-SYD05)

We are looking for positive-minded and capable people to help look after our customers at two brand new Superstores in the CBD.

You need to have an outgoing and positive personality and a can-do attitude. Strong customer service experience is essential, as is perfect English and the ability to work unsupervised. The ideal candidate will have a good operational knowledge of PCs (esp. Windows XP), and familiarity using printers, faxes and the like.

The ability to speak another language (such as Korean, French or German) would also be looked upon favourably.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Helping our customers use our systems
  • Operate the PrinterPoint counter inside the store
  • Helping keep the place clean and safe
  • Helping keep the PCs and Peripheral devices in good working order

You must be ;willing to work 20+ hours per week, especially at night and on weekends. Applicants holding a Working Holiday visa must be prepared to commit to 3+ months.

Macquarie Bank subsidiary, Macquarie Technology Finance, has bought a 20 percent stake of Everywhere Internet. Andrew Gee, Managing Director of Macquarie Technology Finance, has joined the board of Everywhere Internet which now includes a number of high profile executives including Mark Korda, founding partner of of Korda Mentha, who has also bought a strategic stake through investment company 333 Capital.
